DECIDING MY FUTURE

I'm in the senior year of the high school that means that I have to decide what I want to do next year and I don't know what I want. I was thinking about making a gap year but I think that I'm too little to travel alone around the world so I thought to go to somewhere to learn English. Other option is to go to the university. But I don't know what I want to become in a future, I mean, I even don't know what I will do tomorrow, how can I be sure about what I want to work the rest of my life. 

When I was young I wanted to be a VET, but now I'm not sure about that and the mark to enter in that degree it's too high. Also I thought in INEF because I love sports but I think that it's a hobby not a job. And finally I think about being a biologist and I like that idea. 

By the way, I decide to make a decision after the selectivity. 

DOLAN TWINS

Grayson Dolan and Ethan Dolan are a you-tuber stars twins. The twins have earned more than 3.1 million subscribers to their channel. They gained fame on the app Vine, where Grayson has over 3.4 million followers. He also has over 5 million followers on his personal Instagram account. Ethan Vine channel accumulated more than 3.2 million followers and the twins' collaborative YouTube channel has amassed over 3.1 million subscribers. They are 17 years old and his birthday are the 16 of December. 

I like this boys too much, they always make me laugh with their videos on Youtube. At first time, I didn't know who they are, but my best friend said me that I have to see almost one video of their and I like it so much. 

IGLOOFEST

Igloofest is an electronic music festival that runs for three weekends during January and February in Montreal, Canada. Maybe some people are a little reluctant because it didn't seem a good idea to stay in sub-zero temperatures only for listen electronic music. But I think that it's a new experience and it would be awesome go there. I think that when you start dancing with the rest of the vast crowd you even didn't notice the cold. 

In that festival come people around the world because there are a amazing dj's there and if you are a fan of electronic music it can be your own paradise. It's another thing on my list, go to Igloofest!

SALES

To be honest, I think that sales are a mess because when you go to shopping there are a massive queues of people ready to spend, spend, spend! And every shop has clothes sprawled all over the place with people searching through the piles as if it were gold. On the other hand, it's worth because you can save a lot of money and after Christmas it's good for us. However, if you don't like to go in that shops with a crowd of people, you also can buy it online, because there are some retailers such as Zara, Double Agent or Stradivarius that offer to us a really bargains on clothes and whatever, is up to you!

HAPPINESS?

What is the real meaning of happiness? I think that the meaning of this word is different for everyone, because maybe you can be happy if you have love, but maybe someone is happy if he has money. In my opinion, I think that money can’t give you happiness. I think that happiness is a state of mind, you can have a lot of problems but if you know how to affront it you can be happy too. Because everyone have problems, but your attitude in front of them determine the way of your life. Besides, one of the things that can become you in a happy person is know yourself. If you know it, you can do whatever you propose to you.

 

COMERCIAL XMAS

For some years, in this capitalist society buying presents and gifts has become very important. This aspect increase when it's Christmas.

We are living in a society that prefers a very expensive present than a little thing but with meaning. We make more important the material things than the emotional ones, and that is a big problem. In my point of view, we have to care about the things that really have a meaning. Christmas is an event where you see your family and your friends.It's an event where you feel more happy, there are no reason to be happy but you are, call it magic.
Maybe it's not like on the films, that when is Xmas all the people becomes nice and there are nothing bad in the world. But we can't complain about our life.  

STEREOTYPES

Nowadays, our society is getting stereotypes of prettiness. We live in a consumer society and material world and there is a lack of values, so we think that having a good appearance is an important thing. We have to be skinny, wear brand clothes... and finally, that kind of obsession can lead to mental illnesses. This is extremely bad because you're playing with your health, it's not a joke. 

Because of that, I think that we need to say STOP. Every person is a world, every person is original on them way, and it's that what make us persons. A lot of people are fighting to follow the society stereotypes, so they are fighting to be the same way, like a photocopy, and it's horrible. If you have the luck of being different, don't lose that.

BEST SUMMER EVER

Last summer was the best of my life for different reasons. It was the first time that I have worked. Before summer I was very worried about that, because I thought that it would be like go to school, that it would be a routine. But I was never more wrong. I worked on Tropic Beach; it is a small open air restaurant near the beach of Sant Pere Pescador. In this job I make new good friends and we made good stories together. It’s true that there were a lot of people and sometimes you didn’t stop in hours, but I really like be a waitress. I started to work at 10 a.m., and it was awesome because when I was working I could see all this awesome views of the beach. Also I loved work at night because the environment of Tropic Beach was better; there were more people of my age. And every Monday we had a musician there. We met a lot of people from Netherland, Germany even France.

Other reason was that my best friend was working in the camping next to Tropic Beach, so every day I saw her. Also we went for first time to Fata, one disco from Sant Pere Pescador. And it was amazing because the people who I met on my job usually went there and my workmates too.

Besides sometimes I went to the beach to play volleyball with one of my teammates.

This summer I really disconnect from all and I was very relaxed. 

GLOBALISATION

Today, I want to talk about the problem of the globalisation. I know that globalisation is good for a lot of things, for example the food, now you can go to the town and buy some sushi, but it's native to Japan. Also is a good thing because you can talk with people around the world about everything because more less we have enough culture to do it. So I agree with the globalisation produce a lot of benefits but also it have damages. And one of that damages is the lost of some traditions.

In Catalonia, for example, we celebrate Halloween, a tradition from U.S.A. I love it, because every year I meet with my friends and celebrate it and it's awesome. But here in Catalonia we have a tradition. On 1 of November, we have to go the cemetery to see our dead persons, but -including me- I don't know any person from my age that do it. So I agree that we can celebrate other traditions like Halloween, Santa Claus, Black Friday, but why in the process of globalisation we forget our typical traditions? 

The people don't want to grow up to go to La Patum for example, but they want to go to Tomorowland in Belgica.

 So, yes I think that celebrate the typical traditions from another country is awesome, but forget our traditions is a wrong action, and we have to stop that change before that traditions disappear. Because any tradition is better than other. All traditions are unique and awesome, like "Cagar el tio" or "Els Reis mags" traditions from Catalonia. 

GRIT

Last day in English class we saw a speech of Angela Lee, about the grit of learning and make things happen, of fight for what you want and the passion and perseverance.

In my opinion I think that she is right, of course that there are people more smarter than other ones, but if you fight for things that you want with perseverance and passion you can do more than ones that are more smart but more lazy. And I don’t think that grit can be teach or learnt, I think that grit depends on the personality of everyone, it’s not matter of education but it can helps too.

WE HAVE TO BE HAPPY OR WE ARE HAPPY?

Most of people think that in live you have to be happy and there isn't another choice, that it's ok but with a limits. Some people force the things trying to be happy, but they don't understand that happiness is not something that you can get like when you buy something, happiness is a feeling and when less you think about it more you can be that. Because I think that happiness is synonym of simplicity, of being and not to get it. And life is like a roller coaster you can be up or down, but this is life, you can be sad in a moment but have happiness in your life, one thing no quit the other. So live the life and don't over-think and you will know what happiness is. Happiness is a choice that you make every day.  

XIRINGUITO X

Last Friday, I went to xiringuito X. I never had been there before. I went with one of my partners in my volleyball team, she has car so we can went there.
It was an awesome place, there were a lot of people from here and a lot of strangers too. There were some tables around the xiringuito but also you could sit on the sand. The moon was up in the sky and the waves almost arrived on the xiringuito.  There was some music, and it was very chill.
We danced a little bit, then we bought some cocktails and we sat on the sand and observed this fantastic views. 

BURGOS-LEÓN

Last 4th of April my class and I went to school trip in Burgos and León. It's not far from here, but we had to do an scientific trip, so in this places we can see part of the evolution of humans such as Atapuerca's ruins. We had to take the bus to went to Burgos, it was 8 hours in the bus, it was horrible but we can sleep and do stupid things with friends. On the third day we went to Leon, and we could saw Las Medulas.
It was an amazing travel because we become more friends with the people f the class, because we have to live a shot time with them. We learn about the other, and also we learn a lot from this places and about their history.

DREAMS

When you fall sleep your brain create some imaginary spaces called dreams, so in this post I will show you some curiosities that maybe you don't know about dreams.
First one, it's that you can control you dreams. Of course you have to learn how to do it,but some people said that if you drink apple juice before you go to sleep you can do it, but it's not prove it. 
Other one is when you are dreaming you can't read and you don't know what hour is. Also, maybe you don't know that blind people can dream too. One curiosity that I find awesome it's that there are 12% of the people that dream without colour. The last one is that when you are dreaming is the part of day that your brain has more activity.

CONTAMINATION

One of the biggest problems of the world is the pollution. We are destroying our planet. A lot of factories send to the atmosphere a lot of pollution. This is very dangerous for the people and for the plants because they are destroying us.

But not only the factories, the cars and a lot of products for the hair like lacquer and spray are destroying the ozone hole and the environment. It's very important because if we don't stop it, we will pay the consequences and will contribute with the green house effect, and it is very dangerous. Some people think that we can’t do anything, because if they start to recycle they can’t avoid this, but we have to know that every big change starts with one step. And if all the people think that, we can change the world to become a better place to live in.

INTERNET

Internet is good or bad for young people? This question is a popular one; everyone knows that Internet is the base of this society because the majority of the people of the world use it. But this invent has a good and bad things. The good things are that you can communicate with people around the world, friends or family that are living abroad, so in that way it’s fantastic. But Internet can be an addiction, a lot of people are addict to the Internet but a few a people know it. Always, we said: If I want to let the phone away from me, I can do it, it’s not a problem. But really, we can’t do that. We spend a big part of the day with Internet, and of course it’s bad, all the things in extreme way are very bad. So I propose to myself let the phone away, because the real things happen out of this machine.
